Today I was cooking this burger for lunch and thinking about the debate over eating vegan food that resembles or tastes like meat or dairies.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Many people, especially non vegan, get upset because vegans sometimes try to recreate meat-based food (hamburgers, sausages…) since we condemn meat and dairy products.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I actually love a good plant-based burger and see no contradictions in recreating some of the food I might “miss”. As a vegan, in fact, I do not condemn the taste of meat or cheese, but rather the suffering of the many beings that hides behind that taste.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So why shouldn’t we eat food that reminds us of meat (in the taste or shape) since we have more ethic alternatives? Let me know your opinion in the comments!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That’s why I’m giving you my “burger” RECIPE:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
100gr white beans⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1tablespoon chickpea flour⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pinch of salt and pepper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Paprika (sweet)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
10 capers ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 olives⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Garlic⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A splash of soy sauce and a teaspoon of tomato paste⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Blend all the ingredients and put the mixture in the refrigerator half an hour, then form the patty and cook😋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the oven: 10-12 minutes per side at 180^ Celsius⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a pan: warm up some oil and cook 5-7 minutes per side.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It tastes amazing with cauliflower mayo made blending some steamed cauliflower with olive oil, salt and a spoon of water.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
