This is my first time trying overnight zoats. It makes breakfast so quick and easy. I basically threw a bunch of pantry ingredients into a mason jar and left it overnight and breakfast was served in less than 2 minutes. Why have I not discovered this before?
Zoats are the perfect way to get in some greens for breakfast. The zucchini is tasteless in a bowl of oats. This may become a staple breakfast for me as school starts and time shortens. I topped the zoats with a cactus pear. I’m not sure it that is the correct name for it but it’s what I’ve been calling it my whole life. If you haven’t tried a cactus pear, you are missing out. It is one of those tropical fruits that I will never be sick of.
1/2 cup @bobsredmill quick cook oats
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup shredded zucchini
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup almond milk
Throw all ingredients in a mason jar and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Serve with your favourite topping.
