Summer fruits smoothie bowl ????⠀⁣

I did a poll on my stories this morning asking if you’d prefer breakfast recipes in the morning or the evening – seems like most of you prefer evening (I fall asleep dreaming of breakfast most nights so can relate). A bit of evening prep can definitely make things easier in the morning too, whether it’s freezing fruit/veg for smoothies or soaking chia seeds/oats for chia pudding/overnight oats.⠀⁣

It’s quite rare that my smoothies don’t contain a green of some sort but the good fats and proteins in this recipe are not a coincidence – they help to reduce blood sugar spikes and will also keep you fuller longer; likely reducing cravings. You could definitely add spinach or parsley – just brace yourself for a drastic colour change. ⠀⁣

Ingredients: ⠀⁣
1/2 frozen peach cheek ⠀⁣
5 frozen strawberries ⠀⁣
1/2 frozen banana ⠀⁣
1 teaspoon nut butter – I used @nutblend⠀⁣
1 tablespoon ground chia/flax seeds⠀⁣
20g vegan protein powder – I used @freesoulsistas ginger biscuit blend ⠀⁣
1 teaspoon @d8_made sour cherry date butter ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
Blend with 1/2 cup orange juice or coconut water ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
Top with fresh/frozen fruit, nuts + seeds of your choice, cacao nibs and maybe some coconut yoghurt. Got my seeds + cacao nibs from @somethinggoodnewcastle & the coconut yoghurt is @cococollab – completely dairy-free and vegan friendly. Served in my fav @cocobol.london coconut bowl ?⁣
