Vegan Cinnamon rolls !
These are definitely my favourite vegan dessert I’ve made to date ! Using yeast can make things tricky but when used correctly it works wonders ! The icing I used is actually yogurt mixed with some left over cinnamon and @lakanto monk fruit sweetener I used for the filling !
3 cups of whole wear flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 packet of yeast ( 1tsp of brown sugar)
1 cup of plant milk
1/3 cup mashed banana
3-4 tablespoons of applesauce+ 3 extra tablespoons for when adding filling FILLING
1 tablespoons of cinnamon
2-3 tablespoons of @lakanto
Monk fruit sweetener or any sugar you desire. YOGURT ICING 1/2 cup of soy yogurt Monk fruit sweetener or any sugar/sweetener (to your taste) and cinnamon ( to your taste)
First off ,warm plant milk (Luke warm) then add yeast and brown sugar the let sit for ten minutes to activate. While that’s setting add flour, salt , cinnamon and baking powder together. Later add banana applesauce mix and yeast to flour. Knead well. Once kneaded cover bowl and let sit for 45 minutes (until rides) then roll the dough out and layer another 3ish tablespoons of applesauce like you would sauce on a pizza then drizzle over cinnamon and sugar mix . Roll the dough up then cut into desired size for buns. Put in oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes.
You can then add icing or my yogurt sugar cinnamon mix!
