Patriotic Chia Parfait ❤️☁️? (RECIPE ?)⁣ What’s your favorite dessert for the 4th? I like to have a few healthy things so I’m not feeling completely blah! after the celebrations are over. This Chia Parfait is easy to make and filled with antioxidants, healthy fiber and omegas! ?⁣

✨INGREDIENTS✨⁣

RED LAYER ⁣
* Fresh or frozen strawberries or other red fruit like raspberries ⁣

WHITE LAYER ⁣
•1 cup plant-based milk⁣
•3 dates, pitted (or other sweetener like coconut sugar or maple syrup) ⁣
•4 tbsp chia seeds⁣

BLUE LAYER ⁣
•Fresh or frozen blueberries⁣

✨INSTRUCTIONS✨⁣

Chia Pudding ⁣
1. First, in a blender, blend the plant-based milk and dates until it’s completely blended. *You can skip this step if using a sweetener like maple syrup or coconut sugar.⁣
2. In a small bowl, add the plant-based milk, chia seeds (and sweetener if not using dates) and stir until mixed well.⁣
3. Cover the bowl and let sit in the fridge for at least two hours.⁣

Chia Parfait⁣
1. Blend 1 cup frozen strawberries and about 1/4th cup of water. Once blended, pour this in the glass/jar first and then put in the freezer. You need the red layer to freeze in the glass first because the chia pudding will start to mix with it if you top it immediately. Trust me, I made this mistake.?⁣

2. After the strawberries are frozen in the glass/jar, spoon in chia pudding and top with as many blueberries as you prefer. Serve immediately. ⁣

And voila, you have a healthy patriotic treat to serve on the Fourth of July! I used shot glasses to make mini parfaits and this recipe filled 6-8 of them. It can easily be doubled or tripled for bigger portions. ⁣
