We were craving black bean tofu from one of our favourite restaurants but due to the current pandemic decided to make our own instead using black bean sauce by @diet_tamasha ! It turned out very close if not the same to takeaway food ?
For all those who don’t love tofu can add veggies of your choice or even chicken!

Chopped Spring onions (White and green)
2-3 birds eye or even regular chillies work
Black bean sauce
Thai Basil (optional)
Salt and pepper (as per taste)
Tofu extra firm
Little corn flour
Cut the tofu in cubes and cover it with salt pepper and very little corn flour, mix well!
Take a non stick pan and add your tofu and pan fry it on both sides.
Take a pan and add oil, garlic and spring onions (white) and sauté until aromatic and translucent
Add chillies and the black bean sauce and basil and stir
Add your pan fried tofu pieces and coat it well!
Serve it hot with fried rice or burnt garlic quinoa for a gluten free option.
For Quinoa fried rice take quinoa and boil it as per instructions on the packet
Take a pan, add lots of chopped garlic and sauté until it starts to brown! Add chilli flakes and cooked quinoa! Add salt and pepper and it’s done?
