Vegan Fried Chick’N AKA Fried Oyster Mushrooms

Hey folks ! After all the love we got from our latest reel, we decided to drop this super easy chicken alternative recipe.

Ingredients

Wet mix
1 cup of spelt flour
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
3 teaspoons of smoked paprika
2 teaspoons of paprika
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
Pinch of sea salt

Dry mix
1 cup of spelt flour
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
3 teaspoons of smoked paprika
2 teaspoons of paprika

Instructions

1. Pull apart oyster mushrooms to desired size
2. Add all the ingredients of the dry mix into one large bowl and do the same for the wet mix.
3. Dip oyster mushroom in wet mix and then proceed to dip into dry mix. Make sure it’s fully coated but do not double coat it, you only need to deep into both mixes ONCE.
4. Add 2-3 cups of vegetable oil in a pot and heat up.
5. Add the oyster mushrooms when the oil is very hot.
6. Let it cook for 2-3 until golden brown and then place in a bowl lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
7. Serve in a bun for a chicken burger, or with rice or even incorporate into a salad. Also, you could just eat it on its own with a nice dip🥰
