Rarely do I see tinday in our international food store here in Seattle, and when I do I have to get them and make it exactly how my Nani taught me 20 years ago in Lahore. Masala stuffed tinday is absolutely divine. Sabzi made with heart and soul overshadows any meat dish….that’s just my opinion 😊

Ingredients
8-9 small size tinday
1 medium onion
2 tomatoes
2 green chilies
1 tbsp gg paste
1 tbsp each of crushed dried pomegranate, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp amchur powder
Blend all the above ingredients except gg paste and stuff it in skinned and slit tinday. Heat 4 tbsp oil and fry gg paste for a minute then put all the remaining masala and fry till oil separates. Put 1/2 cup is water in the masala and gently lay the tinday in it. Cover and simmer till tender, garnish with fresh coriander and enjoy with roti and raita. ❤️
